(1) A large handkerchief is useful
A napkin is useful to prevent stains on the kimono. It would be nice if the store has napkins, but it is a good idea to have a large handkerchief in case they do not. If you drape it over your knees or tuck it into your obi sash or obi belt, you will definitely look like an advanced kimono wearer! When hanging it over your lap, we recommend folding it in two and placing the fold in front of you so the handkerchief will not easily fall out.
(2) Be careful with kimono sleeves.
When eating, you should pay attention to the sleeves of your kimono. If you reach out to pick up a glass or plate from the table without thinking, you may end up soiling the side of your kimono. In such cases, it is a good idea to hold the embankment of your right hand with your left hand. It makes your gesture look beautiful and kills two birds with one stone. Please remember this.
